The Washington County Fair Promises to Be a Great Time for All
Looking to end Summer 2018 with a quintessential warm-weather experience? Join the Washington County Fair from August 21-25 for an exciting community event filled with family-friendly activities, carnival rides, great food, pageants, and more!
The Washington County Fair is the largest and most established county fair in Arkansas. Founded in 1857, the Fair reflects past decades of farmers, business leaders, volunteers and youth that have, with hard work and dedication, made The Washington County Fair what it is today.
Its history reveals many past events, such as baseball games, horse races and community dinners. Although the fair was suspended during the Second World War for a few years, the following year the fair was reorganized and has been going strong ever since.
In the past few years, Washington County Fair has introduced new events, such as the tractor pull, Dutch oven cook-off and beauty pageant. In 2007, the Fair began its partnership with Bikes, Blues & BBQ and the fairgrounds became the official campgrounds for the event. Since then, the Fair has only continued to expand, offering more activities each year. If you’d like to experience the true community effort symbolized by the Washington County Fair, bring family and friends to this beloved annual event!
