If You Have an Eye For Photography, Come Check Out Our Natural State Exhibit
The Arts Center of the Ozarks invites you to view out special photography exhibit. Our Natural State is a photography exhibition which examines current Arkansans, compared to its historical, hardscrabble Ozark frontier people. How have we evolved and who are we, as Arkansas becomes home to one of the best places to live.
Our artistic highlight is Woodland Chic by Margeret LeJeune. Margaret LeJeune has gained international exposure from the image series The Modern Day Diana – examining the role of hunting and gathering upon women. Diana is the Roman Goddess of the Hunt, and in Modern Day Diana, Artist LeJune has worked hard to avoid stereotypes in visual depiction of male vs. female preoccupations.
Arts Center of the Ozarks is a regional art institution hosting exhibitions throughout the year with educational programs for children and adults by professional artists and curators. This exhibition is sponsored by the Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas, curated by Chuck Davis, and hosted by the Arts Center of the Ozarks. We look forward to seeing you there!
If you feel like escaping Ranch at Pinnacle Point Apartments in Rogers, Arkansas for the day, this event is a perfect opportunity to do just that!
